TAMIN: Sarawakians must do away with politics of emotion and sentiment that tread on race and religious issues as it does not augur well with the diverse nature of Sarawak, said Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Women chief Datuk Seri Doris Sophia Brodie.
“We should instead focus on politics of development that gives impact to both our economic and social growth,” she said at a dialogue session organised by the PRS Education Bureau here on Friday.
She said women play a big and crucial role in ensuring that development was carried out because women comprise half of Sarawak’s population.
On another note, she said Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) comprised of leaders who were experienced and matured in politics.
“More importantly, they are people-centric, development focused and our Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari is a leader for all races in Sarawak,” she said.
Meanwhile, Senator Rita Insol spoke on the topics regarding Sarawak rights and the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA 63).
