KUCHING: Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (Angkasa) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with local Koperasi Kariah Masjid Darul Ulum Kalok Betong Berhad. This signing was for the Rest and Relax (R&R) project at Pusa junction.

The memorandum signed by Angkasa vice-president Datuk Che Mohd Shukree and Koperasi Kariah Masjid chairman Juhlie @ Joblee Ramli, was witnessed by Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman at Angkasa Sarawak office, Jalan Matang on Saturday (Sept 26).

Shukree explained that the collaboration was aimed at developing a R&R stop with a planned allocation of less than RM3 million. This is hoped to encourage the socio-economic activities around the area.

“The location for the stop is very strategic as it is located on the Pan Borneo Highway route from Betong to Kuching, so we are confident that there will be a lot of road users stopping there and the traffic flow may be quite heavy,” he said after the MOU signing ceremony.
