SRI AMAN: A family at Kampung Hulu here was shocked to discover the presence of a cobra in their house at 7.53am, yesterday.
When Sri Aman APM personnel arrived at the scene, they managed to capture the cobra.
“Immediately after receiving a distress call, we dispatched three personnel namely Lance Corporal (PA) Jack Enus, Lance Corporal (PA) Siti Nor Fazhieha and PBT (PA) Mohd Zulkarnie to the house.
“The three took about 10 minutes to capture the 5-foot cobra inside the house,” said officer-in-charge of Sri Aman APM, Captain (PA) Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim.
The captured cobra was taken to Sri Aman APM office for further action.
The operation ended at 8.10am.
“Dangerous or poisionous animals and reptiles must not be taken lightly becuase they can cause death.
“Hence, I hope members of the public contact us immediately at tel: 083-320973 if they are faced with any emergency at home or outside,” Siti said.
