BINTULU: A 10-tonne lorry caught fire at Jalan Kemena-Bintulu here last Sunday (Oct 25).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre received a call on the incident at 9.15pm and deployed firefighters of Bintulu Fire and Rescue Station to the scene.
Upon arrival, the fire had damaged 80 percent of the lorry’s unloaded engine part.
The firefighters successfully extinguished the flames at 9.43pm and no casualties were reported in the incident.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred are still under investigation.
