MIRI: Padang Majlis Bandaraya Miri at Jalan Padang here will get a new set of flood lights this December.
This was revealed by Assistant Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Sebastian Ting on Friday after he visited the football field.
“A total of six flood light poles will be installed. The new lights will improve visibility, increase safety on the field and provide a great experience to our footballers while playing at the field,” added Ting.
The installation cost of about RM120,000 is fully funded by the state government.
Ting disclosed that 16 proper lighting poles would also be installed next to the Petroleum Museum at Canada Hill.
The cost of installation is estimated to be RM80,000.
