KABONG: Kabong Health Clinic received equipment worth RM12,000 for clinical use from Kabong State Assemblyman Mohd Chee Kadir yesterday.
He made the contribution while on a visit to the , Kabong Health Clinic, here.
In his speech during the visit, Chee said district health clinic plays an important role in improving the quality of health especially for those living in rural areas and are backward.
He pointed out that the clinic is the most basic amenities in health development structures in the country and provides essential services in the prevention of illness, especially to women and children.
As the primary healthcare centre for the community here, Kabong Health Clinic and Nyabor Clinic both require better quality of services, the assemblyman stressed.
Among the items contributed were a computer unit, a printer unit, three units of rack files, 50 plastic chairs, four counter chairs, a unit of screening tools for hypertension, two units for examination of blood sugar and two units for examining the baby heart beats in the womb.
Chee said, the objective of the contribution was to improve the existing facilities at the clinic for the convenience of patients and to provide comfort to the people who receive services there.
“Furthermore, we expect all employees of the clinic to be able to work more conveniently with their tools.
“Our side will continue to monitor the needs of the clinic from time to time in our efforts to help the clinic provide the best services to the people,” he said.
Also present were Kabong District Officer, Haji Kamaluddin Alkap.
