Welfare, Community Well Being, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said out of the total recipients, 297 of them were the elderly, 82 were people with disabilities (OKU) who were unemployed and 25 were bedridden patients.

“78 of them were child recipients and 197 were recipients of monthly aids,” Fatimah said when asked by Gerald Rentap Jabu (PBB-Layar) during the Q&A session at the DUN sitting held on Tuesday (Nov 10).

She also said 23 recipients under the disabled worker’s allowance will receive a new rate of allowance at RM450 every month.

“The state government will be giving an additional of RM50 to top up monthly cash aid for people with disabilities (OKU) who are not working (BTB) and recipients under the children aged between 7 and 18 (BKK) categories.
