MUKAH: `Programme Merdeka@ Komuniti/Sepakat Komuniti Parlimen’ organised by Mukah Dist r ict and Bal ingian Sub- District Information Office was held at a restaurant here recently.
According to Mukah District Education Officer Muhammad Alwi the function was held as an appreciation for the cooperation and participation of the community in the Jalur Gemilang Flag Flying Campaign and Merdeka Month.
At the function, he urged the members of K1M to grab the economic opportunities around them by getting involved in petty trading activities. Muhammd added that K1M Mukah has allocation for members to start their businesses, albeit small scale ones The allocations can be applied through the local information office.
The occasion also saw the presentation of certificates of appreciation to all the chairmen of K1M under Mukah Parliamentary area and winner of Merdeka Month Quiz Competition by Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Haji Kenil Haji Jera’ee.
Also present at the function were Dalat District Officer Kueh Lei Poh, who represented Mukah Division Resident, Temenggong Hendi Suhai , Dalat Dist r ict Information Officer Khalid Aini, SAO Mohd Amirrul Valentine, and a representative from Mukah District Police Headquarters.
