KOTA SAMARAHAN: Community leaders and village chiefs (KMKK) here have been urged to provide complete reports on the Sarawak Poor Home Improvement Programme (PPRMS) in their areas.
Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang said KMKK should write complete reports on the status of PPRMS in villages to enable continuation of the programme for other dilapidated homes.
Idris said a total of RM 500,000 was allocated to repair the dilapidated houses under the first phase of PPRMS in the constituency.
“We need a complete report from KMKK to be submitted to our superiors.
“This is because there are many needy families waiting for their houses to be repaired. It is only when the list is complete that we can implement the next phase.
“So I appeal to KMKKs to prepare the reports to repair dilapidated houses in your respective villages,” he said when officiating at the closing ceremony of a Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Management Course at Kota Samarahan Civic Centre, here today.
He added any difficulties encountered in preparing the report could be forwarded to himself or to the District Officer here for assistance in resolving the matter.
“What I want is for KMKKs to take good care of the welfare of the villagers. Find a solution so that our people are taken care of,” he said.
