MUKAH: Twenty participants who attended the Basic Digital Content Creator workshop at Dewan Suarah Mesra here on Friday (Nov 27) gained additional knowledge from a local representative.
Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo said the workshop was not only for the youth, referring to a female senior citizen involved in the kuih sepit (traditional snack) business.
He hoped that she had gained valuable knowledge from the workshop which she could apply in her business, particularly in terms of advertising and marketing.
“I hope that this workshop has provided some basic ideas about modern technology particularly digital, which could also be applied to online marketing for those who are involved in business,” he said when officiating at the closing ceremony of the two-day (Nov 26-27) workshop.
Yussibnosh, who was also former Balingian assemblyman, hoped that the participants would utilise the knowledge obtained from the workshop to create something beneficial, such as producing videos, to help generate income for them.
He pointed out that in producing commercials, there must be a niche and a passion in the job.
He added it was also important to identify and study the targeted audience or market before planning to start a business for example.
Yussibnosh also suggested creating a blog on the Internet could help in the promotion and marketing of a business venture, as this has been the business norms currently.
The workshop was organised by the Tellian Service Centre in collaboration with Nazzsheera Event Management, Kuching.
