SIBU: A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run incident at Jalan Salim/Stabau today.
District police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the victim identified as Nur Hafifi Hafis Zakaria, 29 died in the early morning incident.
“Investigations revealed that the victim was riding towards Durin Bridge.
“Based on the impact from the scene, the victim is believed to have been run over by an unknown vehicle,” he said.
As a result, the victim sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead by paramedics from Sibu Hospital.
Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
