KUCHING: Experienced coach, Awang Jobli Awang Bidin was again given the confidence to form a Kuching team to face the Sarawak Cup 2017 campaign which will take place in Mukah from November 4-12.
Kuching Division Football Association President (RBAF), Rakawi Ibrahim said recently that he believed in the experience of Awang Jobli Awang Bidin as well as his outstanding record in helping Kuching and other divisions won the prestigious crown.
“It is an honour for me when once again entrusted by the PBBK management to form the Kuching squad. “I will use my experience in several times winning championship titles at this prestigious stage (Sarawak Cup) to form a solid Kuching team,” said Awang Jobli.
The coach who hails from Kampong Rantau Panjang, Jalan Batu Kawah, admitted that there was no major problem for him to form a team, despite the fact that it was hindered by time constraint. “In terms of time, it is rather limited but I am confident of forming a strong team,” added Awang Jobli, who is synonymous with the nickname “Bolet” among his friends.
A total of 12 teams will participate in the tournament. Besides Mukah as the host, other teams are Kuching, Samarahan, Serian, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Limbang.
