BINTULU: Non-government organisations (NGOs) in Bintulu are urged work with the state government to ensure continued prosperity and development in the state.

Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Talib Zulpilip, said this was because there are still a lot of development to be made for the benefit of the people in the Jepak constituency.

“The cooperation and strong support of NGOs especially the Bintulu Melanau Association is important,” he said when officiating at the Bintulu Melanau Association (PMB) Dinner on Saturday night (Dec 26).

Meanwhile, Talib who is also Jepak assemblyman urged the PMB members to be united and attract the participation of the youth.

“This is for them to be more active in the association and also community activities,” he said.

During the ceremony, he presented incentives to excellent students of UPSR, PT3 and SPM 2019 as well as the Anugerah Jasamu Dikenang appreciation awards to ten former PMB committee members.
