KOTA SAMARAHAN : A total of 392 form six students from four schools in Samarahan District graduated this year.

The Fourth Form Six Samarahan District Graduation Ceremony in recognition of students from SMK Muara Tuang, SMK Kota Samarahan, SMK Asajaya, and SMK Wira Penrissen held at Jubli Hall, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Wednesday was officiated by Member of Parliament for Samarahan, Rubiah Wang. “Congratulations to the organising committee for succesfully organising this combined graduation ceremony.

The ceremony is to recognise the students for being able to pass the pre-university level,” said Rubiah. Rubiah reminded the students, that their journey to success does not end with the graduation and that they will face new challenges at university level.

“Our vision and mission is to make Samarahan an education hub which aims to produce citizens who are more educated and successful. “The graduates must aim to go to higher learning institutions to have a better qualification and education background.

Parents also should encourage their children in education as they are our potential future leaders,” she reminded.

During the ceremony, Rubiah announced that she will add the allocation for the combined graduation ceremony from RM15,000 to RM20,000 next year.

Rubiah also presented the awards to best students in academic, cocurriculum, and Examplary Student Award to every school.

The recipients of Best Academic Award are Chai Pok Jim and Michells Bret Napin (SMK Muara Tuang), Azzira Abas (SMK Kota Samarahan), Nurul Haffizah Abd Rashid (SMK Asajaya), and Chan Nyet Joo (SMK Wira Penrissen).

Recipients of Best Co-Curriculum Award are Lukman Hakim Darmadie (SMK Muara Tuang), Muhammad Badrul Amin Abu Kassim (SMK Kota Samarahan), Muhd Syafizi Syafiq Redzuan (SMK Asajaya) and Bong Siak Chong (SMK Wira Penrissen).

Meanwhile, recipients of Examplary Student Award are Mogena Annekie Peter (SMK Muara Tuang), Muhammad Nur Hidayat Razali (SMK Kota Samarahan), Aimi Aliaa Sbeli (SMK Asajaya), and Muhammad Aiman Cyprian Muhd Nizam (SMK Wira Penrissen).

The recipients of the Examplary Student Award took home RM200 cash each as a token to motivate them.
