KUCHING: Sarawak People’s Aspiration Party (Aspirasi) has announced Wong Chin King as its candidate for Repok, in the coming 12th State Election.
Aspirasi president Lina Soo said Wong, aged 55 years was born in Sarikei, and speaks English, Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu (BM).
Wong holds a Bachelor Degree in Education and was in the education field for 20 years, during which he served as teacher and secondary school principal.
“Currently Wong is a political activist for Sarawak sovereignty rights,” she said on Sunday (Jan 10).
Last Saturday (Jan 9), Aspirasi announced its three women candidates for Sibu, which will see Josephine Lau contesting the Dudong seat, Janet Loh (Pelawan) and Jess Lau (Meradong).
Present at today’s event were Aspirasi chairman Buln Ribos, its secretary general Simon Tiong, and the party’s potential candidates Fong Pau Teck (Pujut), Tan Kok Chiang (Sentosa), Chan Chee Hiong (Pending) and Alex Leong (Batu Lintang).
