KUCHING: Hope Place has responded immediately to the flood situation here by handing out aid to flood victims at several evacuation centres on Tuesday night (Jan 12).

The first evacuation centre Hope Place visited was Dewan Balai Raya Taman Desa Wira, Batu Kawa, and food and other basic necessities were given to 35 victims from Taman Sri Emas.

Next location was SK Matu Baru where team members handed out aid to 16 families from Bintawa Hilir.

Among the items were instant noodles, biscuits, malt drinks, drinking water, mattresses, blankets and pillows.

Hope Place is grateful to all donors and sponsors who have consistently supported their efforts in helping the communities in Kuching.
