MUKAH: The fifth series of the Sarawakku Sayang Special Assistance (BKSS) announced today was seen as a saving grace by many, especially the communities in rural areas.
The assistance will help to ease the rural folk’s burdens, including those who are self-employed due to the implementation of the conditional movement control order (CMCO).
Many applauded the government’s efforts, describing it as a lifesaver during these difficult times.
Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg today announced 11 measures under the RM405 million BKSS 5.0 special assistance package for Sarawakians.
The aid will be in implemented from January to June this year.

This special assistance is like a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to save lives during emergencies. Now that this special assistance is given, it is up to us small and medium sellers or large companies to take advantage of it.

BKSS 5.0 will be helpful in reducing our burdens because we are staying at home more due to CMCO, which automatically means we will use more electricity and water. I hope that this assistance will continue to be implemented by the state government in the future as the current economic downturns are also affecting a family’s economic wellbeing.
