Philanthropists do their part to aid flood victims

KUCHING: A local philanthropist group, Kelly Group, has recently come forward once again to collaborate with Hope Place in donating food aid and other basic necessities to the needy.

This is not the first time the group has come to the aid of the local community as it recorded cooperation with Hope Place for years.

“Among the donated items from the group were 200 packets of salt, 200 packets of sugar, 200 bottles of 2kg cooking oil, 200 cartons of biscuits, 200 cartons of instant noodles, 20 packets of milk powder, 50 packets of malt drinks, 150 pieces of 2B pencils and 95 tins of special milk.

“Upon hearing that Hope Place were the frontliners in helping flood victims, Kelly Group also donated 150 boxes of drinking water, 2,500 cartons of cup noodles, 10 packets of instant coffee, 800 pieces of soaps and 20 packets of women’s sanitary pads,” Hope Place said in a statement today (Jan 25).

“Hope Place is thankful to have such a patronage from Kelly Group all these years. Many underprivileged families and people in need will be blessed, especially during these difficult times,” it added.
