KUCHING: The drastic changes occurred in the new leadership of the Kuching Division Football Association (PBBK) when Tupong Assemblyman, Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman was elected to be the new president for 2017-2019. This Kuching FA manager was nominated and won unopposed at the Biennial General Meeting (AGM) in one of a leading hotels in the city on Saturday night.
He replaced the previous incumbent Rakawi Ibrahim who announced his retirement after holding the PBBK’s president post for over 20 years.
However, Rakawi Ibrahim was appointed as PBBK advisor. There was another unexpected decision for the deputy president post with the entry of a new face, Salleh Obeng who also won unopposed.
He took over the post from Razali Dolhan who also retired. Similarly, to another key position, vice-president went to Kamaluddin Akil, formerly the honorary secretary.
“Thank you to all the delegates who have entrusted me to lead the leadership of this parent body (PBBK),” Fazzrudin said in a brief speech at the event.
According to Fazzrudin, the main focus of PBBK after this is to improve the development programme of Kuching Division FA.
“Our main focus is to improve the development programme which covers various aspects towards achieving the objective, making the PBBK a leader in producing talented players in future,” said Fazzrudin.
