PADAWAN: Six persons, including two women, were each slapped with a RM1,000 fine for failing to comply with the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) today (Feb 23).
Enforcement teams from Padawan police headquarters carried out patrols from 10.25am to 12.10pm in six premises comprising eateries, food court, printing shop and convenience stores.
District police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan said the patrols took place around Mile 7, Taman Matang Jaya, Beratok town and Tapah Sentral.
“In the operation, the team caught two premises owners in Mile 7 failing to comply with the business SOPs which is to record customers’ details, time and temperatures in a logbook.
“Meanwhile in Taman Matang Jaya and Tapah Sentral, three premises caretakers, including two women, were caught breaching the SOPs — failing to update the customers’ logbook (incomplete details) daily.
“The patrol team also caught a labourer not wearing a face mask behind a premises in Beratok town,” he said.
All of them, aged between 20 and 54, were committing offenses under Regulation 14 of the Prevention and Control of InfectiousDiseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) (Recovery Movement Control) Regulations 2021.
Aidil added that all the six individuals were given a 14-day period to settle the fine.
