KUCHING: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) has always given the best services to the people in the state, without waiting for the elections in fulfilling their aspiration of Sarawak becoming a developed state in the long term.
Speaking to reporters after site visit at 10th Mile on Monday (March 8), SUPP- Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang said this was proven when Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) agreed to pay oil and gas tax to the state government worth RM2.95 billion.
“With the payment of SST for oil and gas revenue by the oil companies involved in the state, it proves that the struggle of GPS all this while is not just empty talk,” he said.
To ensure GPS will continue to be given the mandate by the people, he called all component parties under GPS to unite and remain committed in fighting for the rights and interests of Sarawak.
“All political parties in the state are calling all Sarawakians to stay united and promise that they will fight for Sarawak’s right.
“GPS still the best for the people. Therefore, all leaders from all parties under the coalition must work hard to deliver the promises that have been made.
“We must prove that the leaders under Abang Johari leadership walks the talk,” he added.
