KUCHING: A delegation of Rotary leaders paid a courtesy call on the state’s Acting Governor Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Bujang Mohammed Nor. They were led by Rotary International District 3310 Governor, Datuk Lee Chuen Wan, who was accompanied by his wife District First Lady Datuk Naomi Chong.
Also in attendance were Past District Governor Haji Andre Suharto and wife Norzan Bujang, Assistant Governor for Kuching Dato’ Thomas Ngu, President Joanna Ting of the Rotary Club of Kuching, and President Fang Yu He of the Rotary club of Kuching South.
District Governor Lee and the presidents briefed the Acting Governor on the various Rotary projects that have been carried out, as well as projects in the pipeline to serve the community of Kuching and Sarawak. Currently, there are a total of five Rotary clubs in Kuching, with six more in the other cities throughout Sarawak.
The Acting Governor was also presented with a copy of ‘Rotary in Borneo’, a book documenting the 80-year history of Rotary in Borneo.
