BAU: Personnel from Bau Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) arrested four men for involvement in drug-related activities in two separate raids here today (Apr 8).

Bau district police chief DSP Poge Nyaon said the first raid was carried out at 9.15am at a house in Kampung Sungai Pinang where a 24-year-old unemployed man was detained.

“The man did not have drugs with him. However, his urine test was found to be positive for drug.

“The case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said today (Apr 8).

Poge said the second raid, also at a house in Kampung Sungai Pinang, took place at 9.45am. Three men, aged between 22 and 31 years old were arrested.

He added that a small bag with a brown batik pattern was found on the floor in the living room of the house during inspections.

“Examination of the bag in front of all suspects found that the bag contained a small plastic bag with a translucent packet inside. Further examination found another transparent plastic packet with 10 small red packets inside containing lumps of white crystallinesubstance suspected to be dangerous drugs,” he said.
