BINTULU: A bungalow was almost destroyed in a fire at Taman Chen Lee Garden, Jalan Sultan Iskandar here early yesterday morning.
According to a spokesperson from the Bintulu Fire and Rescue Department, the station received a distress call on the incident at 3am.
A team consisting of seven firefighters led by Fire Officer Azman Johari immediately rushed to the scene.
They managed to put out the fire but 70 per cent of the house was already destroyed. Two people in the house were reported to be in safe condition. There were no casualties during the incident and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
