KUCHING: Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii has been diligently going to the ground to distribute rural transformation programme (RTP) funds.
This aims to ensure that various religious institutions in Sarikei are well-equipped with proper facilities.
Last Sunday, he visited St Anthony Church, Sarikei and allocated RM200,000 under RTP 2021 to upgrade facilities there.
The church also received RM300,000 under RTP 2020; RM650,000 under RTP 2019 and RM500,000 under RTP 2018.
In addition, Huang allocated RM15,000 under RTP 2021 to Ming Sing Tong Temple in Sarikei to upgrade the temple’s facilities. A sum of RM15,000 was allocated under RTP 2019.
He also paid a visit to Tong Lok Sia Temple, allocating RM30,000 under RTP 2021 for the upgrading of the temple’s facilities. The temple received RM50,000 under RTP 2019.
