KUCHING: The Health Ministry (MOH) has confirmed that media practitioners will receive their Covid-19 vaccine under Phase 2 of the immunisation programme, said Federation of Sarawak Journalists Association (FSJA) president Jacqueline David Impi.
She said FSJA had already submitted the list of Sarawak media practitioners from all over the state to MOH, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Mosti), and the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF).
Aside from this submission, she said the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) had also already submitted the list of media practitioners in Sarawak, Sabah, and West Malaysia to KKM, Mosti, and CITF.
“Today (Wednesday), MOH has confirmed that the media will be in the second phase,” she said when contacted today (Apr 28).
She said members of the media would be notified of their vaccination appointments through MySejahtera.
“MySejahtera will notify you of the place and time of your vaccination during this Phase 2. According to MOH, they go through MySejahtera in order to avoid people cutting queue and so on,” said Jacqueline.
She said there was an estimated 500 reporters throughout Sarawak.
