MIRI: Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Miri Branch has advised traders who sell controlled items during this festive season to comply with its regulations.
Failure to do so will result in actions being taken against them.
“A total of six traders were compounded with RM 200 each from April 21 to today.
“The offences are under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011 (AKHAP 2011) for failing to place a pink tag on controlled items,” said KPDNHEP Miri chief Joe Azmi Jamil today.
He then urged the public to report any Hari Raya Puasa Festive Season Maximum Price Control Scheme (SHMMP) controlled items sold above the maximum price set to the KPDNHEP Miri Branch office at 085-412862 or the website eAduan.kpdnhep.gov.my.
