DALAT: A total of RM12,000 was contributed to mosques and surau here to assist them in carrying out religious activities during the fasting month of Ramadan.
Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah handed over the contributions to four mosques and six surau during her visit here on Wednesday.
Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman, said prior to this some RM30,000 had been granted to nine mosques and 12 surau here.
According to her, each mosque was granted RM2,000 while each surau received RM1,000.
