10 new deaths bring toll to 294
KUCHING: Sarawak recorded 10 new Covid-19 deaths on Monday (May 31), bringing the toll to 294.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the 285th death was Case 44,762, a 77-year-old local woman who was treated in the Sibu Hospital for seizure.
It said she was confirmed Covid-19 positive on May 26 and passed away on May 27. She had heart disease and suffered from stroke.
The 286th death was Case 46,082, a 74-year-old local woman who experienced difficulties in breathing on May 28.
She was brought to the Kapit Hospital by a family member but died during the journey to the hospital on May 28. She had high blood pressure and diabetes.
The 287th death was Case 43,517, a 70-year-old local woman who was placed at the low-risk quarantine and treatment centre (PKRC)in Kuching after being found Covid-19 positive on May 23.
She was referred to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) when she experienced difficulty in breathing in the PKRC.
The woman passed away on May 30. She had diabetes and high blood pressure.
The 288th death was Case 43,963, a 63-year-old local man who was referred to the Sri Aman Hospital from a health clinic for difficulty in breathing.
He was confirmed positive on May 25 and was referred to the SGH for further treatment.
But the man passed away on May 30. He had high blood pressure, dyslipidaemia and heart disease.
The 289th death was Case 47,124, a 66-year-old local man who was treated in the Sri Aman Hospital for difficulty in breathing.
He was confirmed positive on May 30 and he passed away on the same day. He had diabetes, high blood pressure and dyslipidaemia.
The 290th death was Case 42,743, a 67-year-old local man who was referred to the Sibu Hospital from a health clinic for difficulty in breathing.
The man tested positive on May 22 at the health clinic and passed away on May 30. He had high blood pressure and dyslipidaemia.
The 291st death was Case 39,482, a 71-year-old local man who was treated in the Miri Hospital for difficulty in breathing.
He was confirmed positive on May 18 and passed away on May 30. The man had diabetes and high blood pressure.
The 292nd death was Case 43,663, a 59-year-old local man who was referred to Miri Hospital from Limbang Hospital because of a heart attack.
He was found Covid-19 positive on May 25 and passed away on May 30. He had heart disease, last stage kidney disease, high blood pressure as well as diabetes.
The 293rd death was Case 39,089, a 50-year-old local man who was treated in the Miri Hospital for gangrene on his toes.
His rT-PCR test result was positive on May 17 and he passed away on May 31.
He had last stage kidney disease, high blood pressure and diabetes.
The 294th death was Case 43,662, a 78-year-old local woman who was treated in the Miri Hospital for pains in her back and feet.
She was confirmed Covid-19 positive on May 25 and passed away on May 31. She did not have any comorbidities.
