KUCHING: Hope Place is informed of a cancer patient from out-station, Ugom Marong, 74, who can’t eat normal food and is fed through a tube.

Ugom, who is from Kapit division is suffering from nose-cancer and needs help in getting a special milk “ Nutren Optimum” which, regretfully Hope Place doesn’t have and is seeking public help.

Each tin of ‘Nutren Optimum” costs about Rm 100 and every 2-3 days Ugom needs one tin. Hope Place hopes that through this publicity it can get sponsorship for Ugom. Hope Place is also informed that Ugom’s wife is also very sick; suffering from heart and knee problem, high blood pressure and needs to wear disposable sanitary napkins.
