KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud completed two doses of Covid-19 vaccine at Normah Medical Centre last Saturday (June 12).
Taib, on his official Instagram account, said that his first dose of the vaccine was received on May 17.
“Alhamdulillah, I have finally received my second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine last Saturday.
“Like any other people, I was excited when my first vaccine appointment was scheduled on May 17 under the second phase of the vaccination programme,” he stated.
Taib also shared his experiences during the vaccination process, including the 30 minute medical observation for any side effect after receiving the vaccine.
“It was going smoothly and there was no serious side effects after the first and second dose of the vaccine,” he said.
In his post, Taib also expressed his gratitude to the frontline workers for working hard to curb the spread of Covid-19.
The Head of State urged Sarawakians to register as vaccine recipients to ensure that everyone in the state would be inoculated by August this year.
“We need to take good care of Sarawak and only with vaccination, we can fight to curb the Covid-19 virus,” he said.
