KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has announced that enhanced movement control order (EMCO) will be enforced at four locations.
The Sri Minah Timber quarters in Bintulu District will undergo EMCO from June 22 to July 5.
EMCO will also be implemented at Rumah Sewa Beverly Hills and Union Engineering Bintulu (Signa Jaya) quarters in Bintulu District from June 23 to July 6.
Kampung Sadong Jaya Laut in Asajaya District will be placed under EMCO from June 25 to July 8.
On another note, SDMC said EMCO had been lifted at eight locations.
“EMCO has been lifted on June 23 at Kampung Baru in Kota Samarahan, Rumah Demong Li, Batu 8, Jalan Maskat Labang in Sebauh, Rumah Chali Ugok, Batu 17, Jalan Bintulu-Miri along with Block D, G, H, I, O and PPR Bandaria Park in Bintulu District as well as Kem Gabong Trading Sdn Bhd workers quarters in Tatau District,” said SDMC on Thursday (June 24).
“On June 24, EMCO will be lifted at Kampung Kolong 2 in Kuching, Rh Jarop, Changkol in Lubok Antu and Rh Mambang, Nanga Lingah in Julau.”
Meanwhile, SDMC said the district of Dalat returned to orange status from red after recording 36 local infection cases in the past two weeks, decreasing the number of red zone districts to 29.
The district of Saratok changed from orange to yellow after recording 35 local infection cases in the past 14 days.
“This increased the number of orange districts to four while the number of yellow districts is now six. There is only one green zone district in the state.”
