KUCHING: A 24-year-old male took 50 painkillers in an attempted suicide recently. The man was said to have taken the pills in a car park at Damai Centre. Passerby saw the man at about 1 pm in a semi conscious state during the weekend.
An ambulance was called and rushed the man to the Sarawak General Hospital. Nurses and medical staff pumped his stomach to get of the pills. He is now in a stable condition.
It was not known why he attempted suicide. He was recommended to undergo psychiatrist observation.
