TATAU: Tatau district police headquarters (IPD) today received donation of personal protective equipment (PPE) from Information Department (JaPen) Tatau district.
The items, meant as protection to curb the spread of the Covid-19, were presented during a simple event held at the IPD hall.
Present to hand over the contribution was JaPen Tatau district officer in-charge Donny Minggu Ling. District deputy police chief ASP Kisam Wa received the items on behalf of the district’s men in blue.
Donny said, their contribution is hoped to further facilitate the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in carrying their duties as vital frontliners in fighting the war against the Covid-19 pandemic.
“PDRM members are also considered as frontline workers; meaning they are highly exposed to the virus during their work especially during their law enforcement duties.”
Meanwhile, the deputy local police chief thanked the department for their concerns. He hoped JaPen and PDRM would continue their good working relationship in the future.
“It is also important to build close relationship between government agencies in the fight against this Covid-19 virus,” he said.
“JaPen and PDRM in Tatau district will always build good relationship as well as working together as an effort to control the spread of Covid-19 virus by giving mutual support.”
In addition, JaPen Tatau district will always assist those in need especially through the ‘Info on Wheels’ (IOW) programme during this movement control order (MCO) 3.0 where it will be beneficial to residents of Tatau district, including dwellers of longhouses in the area.
