MERADONG: Another mobile vaccination centre (PPV) was opened in the district of Meradong at Dewan Sri Rajang, Institute of Teacher Education (IPG) Rajang Campus.

The other two mobile PPVs in Meradong are in Kampung Sabena and Sungai Mupong.

Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing expressed his gratitude towards the Sarawak government for opening another PPV in the district.

“This will make the vaccination process easier for residents in Jalan KJD and surrounding areas, as the IPG Rajang Campus is just nearby,” he said when met during his visit to the PPV.

Meanwhile, Sarikei Resident Felicia Tan Ya Hua said 105,144 people in Sarikei division are eligible to receive the vaccine.

“Out of the 105,144, 58.35 percent have received their first dose, while 33.55 percent have received their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine,” she said.

Also present to accompany Ding in his visit were Meradong District Officer Badjuri Bidin, Meradong district police chief Sekam Anoi and deputy director of the Rajang Campus IPG, Salahuddin Mohd Nor.
