OYA: Cooperatives and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar handed over allocation totalling RM321,000 to various recipients here today.
Wan Junadi, who is also Santubong MP, handed over the mock cheques for the allocation at a briefing with Malaysia Cooperatives Commission (SKM) held at Oya community hall here.
The allocation was from the agencies under the Ministry of Cooperatives Development and Entrepreneurship (Medac).
Koperasi Pekan Sabtu Oya Berhad received RM100,000 from SKM for the formation (in the process) of Koperasi Prihatin Rakyat (Pemulih), and Koperasi Politeknik Mukah received RM15,000 from SKM.
Koperasi Pekan Sabtu Oya Berhad also received RM10,000 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance from SKM, while community-based rehabilitation centre (PDK) Dalat district received RM20,000 CSR assistance from Malaysia Cooperative Institute (IKM).
A total of RM106,00 was handed over to 10 recipients by Tekun for various loan schemes, while Bank Rakyat allocated RM30,000 for tithe for 150 needy recipients.
A total of RM40,000 was allocated under Program Tunas Usahawan Belia Bumiputera (Tube) Penjana for recipients in Mukah Division.
Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah also attended the event.
