KOTA SAMARAHAN: Officers at the Dewan Suarah Samarahan vaccination centre (PPV) have received contributions in the form of agricultural produce in conjunction with the Peladang Prihatin Sarawak programme.

According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang officiated at the symbolic handing over of the contributions last Friday (July 23).

He said the contributions in the form of fresh fruits and vegetables was an initiative of the Sarawak government through the Area Farmers’ Organisations (PPKs), helping farmers who faced difficulties in selling their produce during the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the same time, he said this was also a token of appreciation for staff members at the PPV.

In a separate occasion, Idris also handed over a cheque for RM25,000 to Sarawak Scouts Council and a cheque for RM16,000 to Saberkas Muara Tuang branch.

The handover was carried out at Muara Tuang Operations Headquarters, Taman Desa Ilmu on Friday.
