MUKAH: Kampung Tellian Ulu fire victims received cash donation and food items from Kampung Penakub village development and security committee (JKKK) recently.
The committee members went to the victims’ temporary home in Kampung Tellian Daya (Tellian Ulu) here to present the donation.
“The contribution may be small, but it means something to the recipients, who were left with only the clothes on their backs after a fire destroyed their house last month.
“We hoped that the contribution would lighten their burdens during this challenging time,” kapitan Kueh Bing Chuan, who represented the JKKK, said.
Kampung Tellian Ulu and Kampung Seri Tellian (Tellian Tengah) penghulu Bonaventure Juana Lupuih and Gabungan Parti Sarawak Youth from Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu also attended the simple handing over ceremony.
