KUCHING: All parties must accept the appointment of the next prime minister and the new federal government by the King with good grace, says Datuk Julaihi Narawi.

“There should be no more politicking to destabilise the new government. The focus should be on the efforts to heal the country in all aspects,” said the Sarawak Assistant Infrastructure and Ports Development Minister.

He pointed out that efforts to bring the country and its citizens back to socioeconomic prosperity must be continued and given top priority.

Efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic also must be stepped up , he added.

“We want a stable government while maintaining the country at peace at all times under the new prime minister.

“Besides that, prosperity and economic growth must be given priority as well. This is important in order to ensure our people have good employment opportunities, thus a steady income to sustain and support their daily needs,” said the Sebuyau assemblyman.
