KUCHING: Twenty-five new localities in Sarawak have been placed under enhanced movement control order (EMCO).
Six of the localities are in Bintulu District, which have been placed under EMCO from Sept 5 to Sept 18.
“These are a rental room above Heng Huat Hit Furniture Shop; Kunci Raya Workers Quarters, Kemena; SK Lifestyle Workers Quarters, Medan Jaya; Workshop Iron Head Workers Quarters, Jalan Tatau-Bintulu; Rumah (Rh) Alih Anak Nyawin, KM40, Jalan Bintulu-Miri; and Grandee Development Sdn Bhd Workers Quarters, Kinda, Jln Tg Kidurong.
“Rh Sengalang Anak Unggat, Sg Selitut, Jalan Tatau- Bintulu in Tatau District and Rh Mebak Ak Agi, Sg Assau, Jln Sebauh-Bintulu in Sebauh District have also been placed under EMCO on a similar date,” said the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) on Monday (Sept 6).
From Sept 6 to Sept 19, Rh Christina, Nunggang and Rh Liman, Bt. 4 Munggu Temedak both in Pakan District; Kampung Darul Falah (Rumah Panjang), Bintangor in Meradong District; and Rh Morris, Sg Suchong Balut in Julau District will be put under EMCO.
Rh Awain Anak Bayang, Sg Seloi in Subis District; Asian Plantation Milings Sdn Bhd in Beluru District; along with four longhouses in Saratok District, namely Rh Mawan, Kawit, Krian, Rh Tama, Ng Melupa, Rh Bama, Ng Risau, Awik, and Rh Wilfred Ukik, Sg Berangan, Sebetan will undergo EMCO from Sept 6 until Sept 20.
Four longhouses in Betong District — Rh Nyuang, Babu Sedebau, Debak; Rh Gara, Belassau, Debak; Rh Lawrence Ludan, Luban Ulu; and Rh Jamit, Ng. Teru Atas, Debak—will undergo EMCO from Sept 7 until Sept 20.
Two localities in Simunjan District will also undergo EMCO on a similar date. They are Kampung Lubok Buntin and Kilang Koperasi Permodalan Felda (KPF).
From Sept 8 until Sept 21, Rh Gawong Anak Chang, Batu 28, Skim Sekuau will be undergoing EMCO.
Meanwhile, SDMC had also extended the EMCO in seven localities.
Five longhouses in Sri Aman District will undergo EMCO until Sept 12 – Rh Julai, Kampung Entawa Wong Padong; Rh Majeng. Kampung Po Ai; Rh Berayan, Kampung Panggil; Rh Sumping, Kampung Ran; and Rh Ayai, Kampung Putat.
Rh Sambun, Kampung Ng. Kesit in Lubok Antu District will also extend its EMCO until Sept 12 while Ladang TH Sungai Rasau in Simunjan District will undergo EMCO until Sept 13.
On another note, SDMC lifted the EMCO in 13 localities.
These are Rh Tang, Telok Batu, Bintangor in Meradong District; Rh Banyoi, Ulu Sengaih in Julau District; Rh Rengan, Selambong Krian in Saratok District; three longhouses in Betong District, namely Rh Seli, Nanga Teru Baroh, Debak, Rh Sia, Entawa Debak. And Rh Bayai, Melaban: Kampung Ruan Surik in Simunjan District; Tabau Plantation Workers Quarters and Rumah Layang Anak Kusau, Sungai Mas, Jalan Persisiran Kuala Tatau both in Tatau District.
Additionally, two longhouses in Bintulu District had also ended their EMCO, which are Rh Dunggat Anak Gani, Sungai Mas, Jalan Persisiran Kuala Tatau and Rumah Sait Anak Jaya, KM22 Jalan Bintulu-Tatau as well as two other localities in Samarahan District, namely Lorong 1- 27, Taman Samarindah and Lorong 28-32, Taman Samarindah & Taman Samarindah Baru.
