12 deaths bring toll to 576

KUCHING: Sarawak on Monday (Sept 6) recorded 12 Covid-19 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 576.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the 565th death was that of an 84-year-old local woman from Kuching who was tested positive on Aug 19. She was admitted to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and had a history of high blood pressure and asthma.

The 566th death was that of a 66-year-old local woman who was brought in dead (BID) to Pusa Health Clinic. She was tested positive on Aug 21 and had a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.

The 567th death involved an 86-year-old local woman who was tested positive on Aug 22. She was admitted to SGH and had a history of high blood pressure and diabetes.

The 568th death was also a local woman aged 71 from Bintulu who was admitted to Bintulu Hospital. She was tested positive on Aug 24 and had a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke.

Meanwhile, the 569th death was a 42-year-old local woman from Pusa who was BID to the Pusa Health Clinic. She was tested positive on Aug 25 and had a history of high blood pressure and dyslipidaemia.

The 570th death was of a 66-year-old local woman who was also BID to the Pusa Health Clinic. She was tested positive on Aug 27 and had a history of high blood pressure and dyslipidaemia.

The 571st death involved an 81-year-old man from Pusa who was also BID to the Pusa Health Clinic. He was tested positive on Aug 28 and had a history of high blood pressure, dyslipidaemia, and heart disease.

The 572nd death involves a local man from Serian aged 56-year-old who was BID to SGH. He was tested positive on Aug 29 and had a history of cancer.

The 573rd death was of a 64-year-old local woman from Kuching who was also BID to SGH. She was tested positive on Sept 2 and had a history of high blood pressure and diabetes.

The 574th death involves a local woman aged 68 from Sibu. She was admitted to Sibu Hospital after tested positive on Sept 3. The case had a history of diabetes.

The 575th death was of a 72-year-old man from Song who was tested positive on Sept 3. He was admitted to Kapit Hospital and had a history of gout.

The final death recorded today (Sept 6) was a local woman from Sri Aman aged 83. She was tested positive on Aug 28 and was admitted to Sri Aman Hospital. She had a history of high blood pressure.

A total of 3,714 new cases were recorded in Sarawak today.
