KUCHING: Twelve more localities in Sarawak will be placed under enhanced movement control order (EMCO), while the same order has been extended in seven localities.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said Rh Charlee Ujang, Sungai Sap and Rh Saran Belang, Nanga Tau in Tatau District would undergo EMCO from Sept 16 until 29.
Rh Rikie Punggu Tengah; Rh Gading, Ran Ulu; and Rh Joel, Bijat Ai in Sri Aman District as well as Rh Untin, Sungai Mador, Bintangor in Meradong District will undergo EMCO from Sept 17 to 30.
Pelutan Camp in Telang Usan District is also among the locations placed under EMCO, taking place from Sept 17 to Oct 1.
Five locations that will be placed under EMCO from Sept 18 to Oct 1 – Rh Cecilia, Praja Atas in Saratok District; Rh Collin Amban, Bengang and Rh Pagu, Meregang, Debak in Betong District; and Rh Rosyvia, Sare and Rh Robert, Sungai Merudu in Sarikei District.
SDMC added that the seven localities undergoing extended EMCO are Kampung Long Aton and SK Long Aton, Tinjar in Beluru District, from Sept 17 to 23.
In addition, the extended EMCO also included Kampung Tengah, Beladin in Pusa District and Rh Bantan, Sungai Langit in Betong District, which will take place from Sept 18 to Oct 1.
The extended EMCO for the remaining three locations are Kampung Mentu Mawang, Kampung Mentu Pondok and Kampung Mentu Tapu in Serian District from Sept 20 to 24.
Meanwhile, EMCO ended at 21 localities on Sept 16 – Rh Sumping, Kampung Ran in Sri Aman District and Rh Ubam, Lio, Engkelili in Lubok Antu District.
EMCO ended on Sept 17 for Rh Ujeh, Sg Atap Ulu Strass, Bintangor in Meradong District; Kampung Spaoh/Kiri, Kampung Spaoh Raba Baru and Kampung Spaoh Engkabang in Simunjan District; Rh Mulok, Klua, Krian and Rh Jemat, Malong, Awik in Saratok District; Rh Budol, Seruai, Spaoh, Rh Gabriel, Sungai Sibau, Rh Tayan, Ng Penebak, and Rh Edward, Batu Lintang in Betong District; Kampung Hulu, Belandin in Pusa District; Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad, Suai 1 Estate (Gelasah Division) and Gelasah Palms Oil Mill, KM120, Miri-Bintulu in Subis District.
Kampung Mapu Kijabu, Kampung Mapu Tantu, Kampung Mapu Sadong, and Kampung Mapu Tragus in Serian District completed EMCO on Sept 17.
EMCO for five localities will end on Sunday (Sept 19). They are Kampung Simpok, Kampung Mundai, and Kampung Lintang in Serian District; Kampung Darul Falah, Bintangor in Meradong District and Rh Minggu, Batu 28, Skim Sekuau in Selangau District.
