EMCO to be enforced in 18 new localities

KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has announced that 18 new locations will be undergoing the enhanced movement control order (EMCO).

The EMCO will be implemented from Sept 22 to Oct 1 at Rh Ambrose, Pakit A and Rh Angsat, Pakit B in Sri Aman; Rh Tegong, Skim, Skrang in Lubok Antu; Rh Antau Anak Sait, Sungai Empang Baru in Tatau and Rh Semail Anak Tor, KM5, Jalan Bintulu-Bakun in Bintulu.

Meanwhile, Rh Tini Rijan, Munggu Ruan, Undop;  Rh Dunggau, Gayau Ulu, Pantu;  Rh Maureen, Kara Begunan, Pantu; Rh Winston Mupit, Sg. Besai, Pantu and Rh Unggin, Kara Tinting Jagu, Pantu in Sri Aman; Rh Ubat, Nanga Serau in Julau; Rh Jantan, Genting Kopi in Pakan; Rh Tanjung, Sungai Lelabi, Bintangor in Meradong will be enforced the EMCO from Sept 23 to Oct 2.

Rh Sati Sungai Pitos, Kop, Ibus, Roban in Kabong; Rh Jamu, Peligong, Sebatan and Rh Untan, Tanjung Sikup, Melupa in Saratok will undergo the EMCO from Sept 23 to Oct 3.

The EMCO will also be enforced at Rh Regina, Sungai Kawan in Sarikei and Rh Angan, Mupoh Atas in Betong from Sept 24 to Oct 3.

The EMCO has been extended at two locations namely Rh Mau, Enteban Ulu and Rh Garak, Munggu Menggeris, Debak in Betong from Sept 24 to Oct 3.

The committee announced that the EMCO will be lifted on Sept 22 at 12 locations; on Sept 23 at 42 locations and on Sept 24 at three locations.
