KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) reported 26 Covid-19 fatalities in the state between Sept 19 and 28.

The number included 11 brought-in dead (BID) cases.

“On Sept 19, a 63-year-old woman who had a history of high blood, diabetes and kidney failure died in Betong Hospital.

“On Sept 20, Betong also recorded the death of another 63-year-old woman who had a history of high blood, dyslipidaemia, and obesity while one fatality was recorded on Sept 22, involving a 72-year-old man in Sibu district who had a history in comorbidities.

“Three fatalities were recorded on Sept 23, involving a 60-year-old woman, 66-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman from Betong.

On Sept 24, three fatalities were reported consisting of a women age 88 who had a history of comorbidities at Sri Aman districts and two men aged 79 and 44 from Sibu district.

The committee also reported two BID cases in Kuching, involving a woman aged 63 a man, aged 78 on Sept 25.

The other fatalities were reported on Sept 26, involving sever elderly women and four elderly men with comorbidities.

On September 28, there were two fatalities reported, one in Bintulu involving a man aged 76 and a 64-year-old man in Kuching who also had a history of comorbidities.
