KUCHING: The wife of Head of State Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib yesterday (Sept 29) paid a visit to SK Matang Jaya vaccination centre (PPV).
Ragad, who is also the chairman of Ragad Foundation, is known for her care about the health, education and well-being of students in Sarawak.
As such, she has shown support towards the vaccination programme for students between the ages of 12 and 17.
“The foundation supports the vaccination programme and we are happy to collaborate with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN).
“It is in line with one of core values of our foundation to focus on developing youth, which is important for our future generation to be healthy and educated as they are our future leaders,” she said in a statement.
During her short visit to the PPV, she noted that the foundation would like to organise not only vaccination programme but also health and fertility programme by LPPKN that are beneficial to the particular target group.
“We wish to support every effort by our stakeholders to build a healthy community and as a support to Keluarga Malaysia,” Ragad added.
Meanwhile, the director of LPPKN, Shahriah Saharom expressed her gratitude and for the given opportunity and looked forward to collaborating with Ragad Foundation and MOH.
Also present during the visit were Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah and the wife of Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Datin Zuraini Abdul Jabbar.
