KUCHING: A total of 1,551 students of Sarawak Polytechnic Kuching (PKS) have returned to campus after months of virtual lectures due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The students had registered themselves for PKS residential colleges for Session 1 2021/2022 from last Saturday (Nov 6) to on Sunday (Nov 7).
PKS director Hikmatullah Hajid Ahmad Khan said parents were delighted with the process of the registration and described it as smooth, informative and easy.
“Parents should not be worried about the safety of their children as PKS is always emphasising on the safety of students while on campus.
“On top of that, only students, academic staff and non-academic staff who are fully vaccinated are allowed to enter the campus. To date, the complete vaccination rate for PKS staff has reached 100 percent,” he said.
He also mentioned that the admission of students this time was in strict compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) whereby all returning students are required to undergo the RTK-Antigen test during the registration session.
