KUCHING: Sarawak once again experienced a slight drop of Covid-19 cases to 255 yesterday from the previous day’s 292, bringing the total to 249,091.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said that there were 248 categories 1 and 2 cases and only seven cases from categories 3, 4 and 5.
“There are a total of four Covid-19 fatalities recorded, namely one in each day on Nov 13, 16, 17 and 19 in Bintulu, Sri Aman, Sibu and Limbang.
“Of the total, two are brought-in dead (BID) cases. Only one BID case in Bintulu did not have a history of comorbidities. All fatalities consisted of those aged between 42 and 71,” said the committee.
Kuching accounted for 76 of the Covid-19 cases while Miri had 47 along with Bintulu (21), Sibu (19), Serian (16), Lawas (nine), Samarahan (eight), Bau (six), Subis (six) and Simunjan (five).
Lundu, Pusa and Matu had four cases each, with three cases each in Sarikei, Saratok and Dalat, plus two cases each in Mukah, Limbang, Betong, Meradong and Tebedu.
Only one case was recorded each in Sri Aman, Kapit, Song, Asajaya, Belaga, Kabong, Kanowit, Selangau, Telang Usan, Beluru and Sebauh.
SDMC also noted that there are still six active clusters but these have not recorded any new additional Covid-19 case.
