KUCHING: Sarawak’s Covid-19 cases dropped drastically to 147 on Monday (Nov 22) from a day before of 245, pushing the cumulative number to 249,483 cases.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said there were 145 categories 1 and 2 cases, one category 3 case and one category 4 case while no category 5 case was recorded
Of the 147 cases, Kuching recorded 46 while Limbang recorded 20, Miri 19, Lawas14, Bintulu 13 and Sibu 13.
“Dalat recorded five cases, Samarahan four, Kabong three and Bau two.
“As for the districts of Mukah, Kapit, Lundu, Saratok, Asajaya, Betong, Sebauh and Matu, all recorded one case each,” the committee said in its daily statement.
Today, the state recorded three Covid-19 fatalities which occurred on Nov 19, 20 and 21 from Sibu, Mukah and Serian; the victims were between 58 and 86 years old.
“Of the total fatalities, only one was a brought-in dead (BID) case in Mukah involving a 78-year-old man with a history of asthma,” the SDMC said.
The committee also revealed that all six active clusters in the state had not recorded any new cases.
