MUKAH: Youths should take the cue from the state government and work hand in glove with the administration to bring Sarawak forward.
“Be ready as we want Sarawak to forge ahead by 2030 and continue its progress,” said Youth, Sport and Entrepreneur Development 1 (Youth and Sport Development) Assistant Minister Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu.
“We have to be on the same page to pursue the future with the strong support of the people.”
Speaking at a ‘Santai Belia’ ceremony held at Kingwood Hotel here he said the objective was to achieve the aspirations of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“We want to see our next generation become more forward-thinking,” he said, urging the younger generation to strive harder to realise his vision.
Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine echoed his sentiments.
“We took up the challenge and were given a clear message from the chief minister to call and lead youths so that they can be together in line with our agenda to boost the development of Sarawak and Mukah division in general,” he said.
Also present was the Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Romeo Christopher, Special Officer Aimal Judge Norsidi and Deputy Mayor Jay Keram.
