BAU: Five individuals were arrested for illegal gambling in a police raid early Friday (Feb 4).
“The raid was conducted at 12.45am by the Criminal Investigation Division on a house at Taman Mutiara, Jalan Jambusan,” said Bau OCPD DSP Poge Nyaon.
“Four men were in the house of another, playing holo, a gambling game.
“The house owner and the four men were arrested and brought to the police station for further action.”
Police also seized, among others, gambling paraphernalia, cash, a table and chairs.
The case is being investigated under Section 7(2) of the Common House Game Act 1953.
